Friends of the Library
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7:30 PM in the Collins Room at the
Ipswich Public Library, 25 North Main Street.
Painter and illustrator Joe McKendry, whose work has appeared in
publications worldwide, will discuss his first children's book
Beneath the Streets of Boston: Building America's First Subway.
McKendry currently teaches painting at the Rhode Island School of
Design and runs a summer course in archaeological illustration at
the Etruscan site of Poggio Civitate near Siena.
Registration is not required for this presentation which is
sponsored by The Friends of the Library, but seating is limited. For

2010 Ipswich Lions Club Chowderfest
Saturday, September 25, 2010 from Noon to 3:00 PM at the Historic Ipswich
Riverwalk behind Ebsco Publishing.
You be the judge.
Sample restaurants across the area vying for the coveted title of
"people's choice of best chowder". This is an event for all ages,
with live music, face painting, beverages, wares from local
merchants and other fun activities. Be part of the tradition!

An Evening with Sidney Friedman
Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 7:30 PM at the Ipswich Performing
Arts Center, 134 High St.
The
Ipswich Music, Art and Drama Association (IMADA), the parent group
supporting the Arts in the Ipswich Middle and High Schools, presents
nationally renowned Mentalist Sidney Friedman.
Friedman, who has been featured on CBS, ABC and NBC television
shows, will delight the audience by demonstrating his gifts of
telepathy, ESP and mind reading.
Tickets are $15.00 in advance for adults, $18.00 at the door, and
$10.00 for seniors/students. Tickets are available at Zumis Espresso

Friends of the Library Museum Passes
The
Friends of the Library have purchased two new museum passes for the
Sports Museum at the TD Garden in Boston. Each pass will admit six
people and can be reserved now. The museum is not open when events
are scheduled at the Garden.
